About The Artists:
Ryan Fischer is a Canadian singer-songwriter. Previously, he wrote and directed a series of award winning personal documentaries that screened internationally in festivals and on TV. Ryan began writing songs as an impulse to get through tough times in Toronto where he was struggling to make films and pay the rent; songs initially meant to only cheer and empower himself until the songs took over and led him to pursue a new career.
After a 2 month trip to Mexico in the winter of 2015 – where he survived a dangerous encounter with a riptide in Zipolite (“Beach of The Dead”) – he returned to focus solely on music. In 2016 he rolled out to the West Coast of BC in search of mountains, forests, ocean air and musical adventure. His songs mix self-deprecating humour with recurring themes of self-doubt and a longing for solace. As a celebration of his own and the world’s collective human flaws, music is Ryan Fischer’s way of coming to a place of jubilant acceptance and inner freedom. Ryan Fischer released his debut album “Commercials For Heaven” in the fall of 2021.
Patricia Dunphy is a singer/songwriter who performs at various venues around the lower Mainland. Tricia plays folk rock, country, rock, and blues, which include covers and originals. Tricia’s Album, Urban Folk was released in 2014 and The Kid in all of Us, a children’s EP in 2019, as an independent artist. She is presently recording a 3 rd cd with an acoustic feel. “a Bob Dylan template”.
Tricia will also be releasing singles, which will contribute to a 4th Blues EP. Patricia sings as a solo artist, but is also part of a trio, The Key Collective. The Key Collective is also a six piece that performs the event, “Sounds like Woodstock & more”
Ms. Dunphy plays with The Magic Rooster band as well. Recently Patricia has put together another band focusing on original music. Patricia aspires to put integrity in her lyrics and has written many thought provoking tunes. Tricia is also a writer, fine artist, facilitator and Socan member.
Matthue Richardson is a local Singer/Songwriter, born and raised in the Tri-Cities. He is an avid performer and has hosted several weekly Open Mic nights; from Yellow Dog Brewing to currently co-hosting Thursday nights at The Bennett.
He is actively enrolled in the Music Diploma program at Douglas College, and enjoying every minute of it.
His boisterous command of the stage is greatly influenced by the styles of Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Ray Vaughan & Joe Cocker.
A true crooner at heart, with a lyrical blues and folk style of storytelling, he’ll deliver a foot-stomping good time.
